Vernon Barkhurst

It is based on the true story of Michael Francke, who was the Head of Corrections for the state of Oregon before being murdered. Just before his murder, Francke visits his brother and informs him of a drug ring involving his prison colleagues. When Michael is killed, his brother begins his own investigation into the murder, leading him to more lies and deceit.

5 novembre 1975. Un groupe de bûcherons est ébloui par un rayon lumineux qui traverse le ciel et la forêt d'Arizona où ils travaillent. L'un d'eux, Travis Walton, s'en approche avant de disparaître. Ses amis s'enfuient et déclarent la disparition à la police. Ils se retrouvent bientôt suspectés du meurtre de leur compagnon. Or, celui-ci finit par réapparaître, hagard, entièrement nu et ne se souvenant plus de rien...
