À hauteur d'homme est un film documentaire québécois, réalisé par Jean-Claude Labrecque, sorti en 2003. Le film relate la campagne électorale (province de Québec, Canada) du chef du Parti québécois et Premier ministre du Québec, Bernard Landry en 2003. Tourné en vidéo légère, il présente le quotidien de l'homme politique et de son équipe en plus d'offrir un regard éclairant sur le rapport entre politique et médias. À hauteur d'homme, au moment de sa réalisation, demeure le seul documentaire permettant d'observer avec indépendance et rigueur non-partisane un chef de parti politique en campagne électorale; Bernard Landry ayant donné carte blanche au réalisateur, tant au tournage qu'au montage du film. Le résultat s'inscrit dans la tradition du cinéma direct québécois et s'avère une œuvre sans complaisance envers son sujet : le travail de l'homme politique et le rapport des médias à son égard.

October, 1995. The most important political event in recent Canadian history, the Quebec vote on sovereignty, is about to unfold. During the tense days leading up to the referendum for independence, 23 filmmakers from the NFB's English and French documentary studios take their cameras into the streets and homes of Quebeckers. Culled from 250 hours of footage, Referendum is an emotional portrait of a profoundly divided society. In a collage of powerful moments, the video recaptures the emotions of that time and measures them against today's political agenda. Implicit is the question: What next?

This film establishes a parallel between the 1970 electoral campaign in Québec and the 1936 campaign dominated by Maurice Duplessis. It shows the hope but also the uncertainty that existed in 1970.
