Marriage is a tomb of love? This film depicts the struggle of modern man to choose between bachelorhood and marriage. A sensitive yet comical look at love and commitment between men and women in the '90s. Chronicling the lives of a typical yuppie couple, Charcoal (Lau Ching-Wan) and Veronica (Ron for short) (Anita Yuen). Anita's goal in life is to have a baby, which certainly is not Charcoal's goal. Anita's best friend Ada (Lai Mei-Han) and her husband (Dayo Wong) are having a baby at the same time. However, Dayo surprisingly is a womanizer which leads to problems between the couple. In addition, Charcoal's ex-fiance Joyce (Annabelle Hui) is always around the corner.

Private investigator Jacky Cheung is adrift. He has separated from his wife (Kathy Chow) and misses his young daughter. His next assignment seems fairly simple: he must track down a troublesome teenage girl (Mavis Fan) and return her home to China. Powerful behind the scenes forces soon become apparent, however, and plunge our intrepid hero into greater trouble than he's ever known.

A family suffers at the hands of the Japanese during the occupation of Hong Kong. On December 25, 1941, the Japanese army occupied Hong Kong. The pawnshop owner, Luo Kai has three daughters, the eldest daughter Wangdi, the second daughter Xindi, and the youngest daughter Aidi. When the Japanese army captured Kowloon, Aidi was violently tortured by the Japanese army and suffered a mental disorder. Xindi followed his lover Shen Fang to rescue the wounded in the temporary hospital. In order to curry favor with the Japanese army, Luo Kai did not hesitate to sacrifice his eldest daughter Wangdi. However, not long after he became a traitor, his second daughter Xindi was attracted by a Japanese military officer. Luo Kai finally couldn't bear to fight against Wangdi to stop him. Renowned writer/director/actor/producer Wong Jing created this charming fantasy comedy, featuring a top notch cast. The sweet, lovable Anita Yuen Wing-Yee stars as an illegitimate daughter who inadvertently finds a pearl with a genie in it. Michael Wong Man-Tak is the genie who gives her three wishes, which leads to a lot of hilarity and even a little heartbreak.
