On the eve of Thanksgiving, 1971 a man, dressed in a business suit, leaps out of the back of a commercial jet with a parachute and two hundred thousand dollars in ransom money. Now for the first time in FBI history a team of citizen sleuths, using modern forensic science, is helping unravel the mystery of D.B. Cooper.

In a time of forgiving and giving thanks, a reverend and his family take in a troubled boy named Mason after having lost a son of their own. It's a bumpy ride for Mason, butting heads with his new step-brother and the church counselor he's sentenced to see on a weekly basis. However, with and a renewed faith and a deeper understanding of Thanksgiving traditions, Mason must not only learn to forgive himself, but to understand the true meaning of family.

Café owner Peter, leaves his disgruntled manager Henry, to take care of business, and he instead hires a crew of misfits. Peter returns to an unrecognizable business but soon learns the value of camaraderie with the new team.
