The story starts with the special birthday celebration of a girl. Vasudevan (Sivaji Ganesan) narrates the story which goes back 14 years behind. Karunakaran (S. V. Subbaiah) and Vasudevan (Master Baji) are brothers whose parents had died. They are very much loving and close to each other but Vasudevan longs for mother's love.

7th century AD. Parthiban, the Chola King, dies in battle leaving incomplete his desire to be free from the yoke of the Pallavas. His son Vikraman (Gemini Ganesh) is determined to fulfill his father's dream. He is arrested by the Pallava king, Narasimhavarman and exiled to an island where he is chosen the king

Comme leur entreprise périclite, les propriétaires d'un cirque ont une idée géniale : aller en Malaisie attraper un singe géant à la King Kong, signalé à plusieurs reprises, pour en faire la vedette de leur spectacle. Sur place, ils bénéficient des services d'un jeune forestier pour monter l'expédition. Mais il découvrent qu'Otango, le nom du singe, n'est pas la seule menace : un étrange savant fait d'extraordinaires expériences dans la région...

Rajan loses his luggage in the train and ends up as a driver in Dharmalingam's family. He falls in love with Gomathy, the eldest daughter of Mullaivaasal Zamindar, his family's arch-rival.

A small time criminal turns over a new leaf with the help of a bishop and starts leading a new life with a changed identity. When Inspector Javert finds out about this, he tries to expose him.
