36-year-old Alis starts living in his car after his father kicks him out of the house. He shaves on the street, eats the food his mother brings over to his car, and applies to job adverts that his mother marks in the newspaper for him. After a series of rejections, he finds himself working door-to-door marketing Karnaval brand carpet cleaners. An unusual bond forms between Alis and "Karnaval". Karnaval even moves in with Alis occupying the front seat of his car. In this new adventure of his, Alis meets a wedding cake-maker named Demet. She lives with her father ever since her mother's death, and dreams of hopping on her motorbike and moving to Istanbul where she would open up a bakery shop

Ali and Meryem are an ordinary family on the face of it. Meryem has a child from a previous relationship with Ferit. When Ferit reappears years later, Ali puts his wife to a test of trust. While Meryem is caught between her sense of gratitude and the agony of love, Ali's self-esteem begins to crumble. Ferit's murder fans the flames of distrust between them. Leyla, a lawyer and a poet, takes the long-distance train to attend her high school reunion dinner. On the train, she meets Canan, a young nursing student in distress. As the conversation develops, Leyla learns that Canan is travelling to assist with the suicide of a paralysed man, Yavuz, who wants to die. At the end of the long over- night trip, surrounded by the stories of people both on and off the train, Leyla decides to accompany Canan on her difficult visit.

While Beckett centered on existential matters in "Waiting for Godot," Şensoy authentically adapted this play to address and mock the oppressive and fascist authorities in "Godot Go Home."
