The celebration of the 50th anniversary of “Capitol-Insurance” is due – that's what the bosses thought. All employees are invited to join the party in a hotel. Bernd Stromberg, et le chef du service Règlement des sinistres d’une société d'assurances. Il dirige un bureau d'employés qui ne sauraient être plus différents : il y a par exemple Ernie, le fils à maman, Erika, dodue mais bonne comme le pain, et Ulf, boute-en-train et pas très spirituel. Chaque occupant correspond à un stéréotype, et tous sont méprisés par leur chef Stromberg. Celui-ci aime bien jouer le dictateur du royaume de la paperasse, mais lui aussi est un flemmard de première catégorie. Jusque-là, rien de spectaculaire. Finalement, un bon mélange de stéréotypes.
