Luis, sept ans, vit dans une province reculée du Mexique. Un jour, son quotidien, ainsi que celui de l’ensemble des habitants de son village, se retrouve bouleversé par un événement inattendu. Jusqu’ici insouciant et innocent, le jeune garçon comprend qu’il va lui falloir grandir au sein d’un monde dans lequel les rêves n’ont pas de place. Entre moments de complicité avec son père et jeux avec ses camarades, Luis va néanmoins tenter d’échapper à un destin qui semble tout tracé.

The economy has collapsed. In a universe of moral and economic impoverishment, we find Flavia, a spoiled teenager with artistic aspirations that are somewhat frustrated when she is not accepted at the University. Her neighbor Martin, a mature man with rigid routines, is her antipode. When Flavia meets Martin, there are sparks of friction at all times, and the situation is unlikely to get any better.

Aspiring hip-hop star Francisco builds a name for himself as a musical artist while his conscience helps him through family drama and discrimination.
