Alors que Michael arrive à Berlin pour rendre visite à Gabi, son ex-petite amie adorée, un terrible virus – transformant le commun des mortels en tueur sanguinaire – se propage rapidement à travers la ville. Michael, s’inquiètant de ne pas trouver Gabi chez elle, fait la rencontre d’Harper, un jeune apprenti plombier qui effectue des travaux dans l’immeuble. Ensemble, ils parviennent à se barricader tandis que des hordes contaminées par le virus envahissent les lieux. Cernés par ces zombies assoiffés, Michael et Harper doivent combattre pour défendre leur vie et il leur faudra user de toute leur ingéniosité pour survivre et retrouver Gabi.
