Everyday family life as perfectly normal madness. “As Melhores Coisas do Mundo“ follows a few days in the life of the 15-year-old Mano, who is fighting on two fronts: his parents have just got divorced and he is going through puberty. Mano tries to make his way through life, with its first sexual experiences, his depressed brother and his self-centered parents. It’s a humorous homage to the pitfalls of daily life and the diversity of life.

Thiago and Guilherme, two teenage cousins from São Paulo, Brazil, are disturbed by their grandfather's funeral. To avoid the unpleasantness surrounding the event, they run away to the families cabin, taking their friend Priscila with them.

One day, Eduardo arrives at his house and discovers that Julia, his wife, tried to commit suicide. She left her husband and two children without saying goodbye. After some time, she comes back home. He tries everything to set her straight, but the impossibility of knowing her fully grieves him. The shadow of the suicide and the inevitable ghost of a new chance hover over their heads. Eduardo insists on understanding his wife, but an increasing jealousy and an unexpected discovery of her past torture him. He does not realize that, most of the time, the search for control easily becomes an obsession.

A foreign filmmaker is invited to visit China with the task of producing a documentary about tea production in the province of Fujian. A year later, having returned to Brazil, she revisits her images and what was seen in Chinese territory.

A director-character, an intervening actor, an interviewer-character: how do these mediations reveal the shifting levels of difference in the relations woven inside films? The project investigates the interview as a dialogue strategy and fiction as its vehicle.
