Randy Rhoads’ guitar riffs re-shaped rock ‘n roll and raised the stakes for guitarists around the world. Known primarily as the lead guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne and for his groundbreaking guitar work on the albums “Blizzard of Ozz” and “Diary of a Madman”, Randy spent most of his life playing in a small band known at the time, Quiet Riot. After leaving Quiet Riot to play, record and tour with Ozzy, Randy died at the young age of 25 in a tragic plane crash in Florida. His body died that day, but his soul and music live on forever.

Randy Rhoads, The Quiet Riot Years, a 90-minute documentary film, explores the enduring friendship of Quiet Riot bandmates Randy Rhoads and Kevin DuBrow. Narrated by Quiet Riot photographer, lighting designer, lyricist and friend, Ron Sobol, the film offers a behind-the-scenes portrait of two close friends as they embark on an uphill quest for stardom . Using previously unseen images, rare video footage and period music, along with new and classic interviews, the movie chronicles the five year period (1975-1980) that Sobol was in the trenches with the band. This in depth examination documents in photos and on celluloid, the gradual rise of a Hollywood club band into international superstars.
