Nils Karlsson Pyssling is a 1990 Swedish family film based on the novel with the same name by Astrid Lindgren.

Ce film raconte une double histoire : la vie d'un couple et la naissance d'un roman. Edgar et Milène vivent comme des reclus, ils ne peuvent pas dialoguer, mais ils s'aiment, et leur amour va donner la vie à un enfant. Quant au roman d'Edgar, il naît de rien, à première vue, car Edgar se promène seul dans l'île de Noirmoutier. Au hasard de ses promenades, il rencontre des personnages quotidiens, qui deviennent, transformés ou imaginés, les « créatures » de son roman, les pions d'un jeu de l'échec qu'il invente. Les « créatures » prennent vie au cours d'une partie serrée dans laquelle Edgar défend non seulement ses convictions, mais aussi son amour.

The band plays travelling musicians from 19th century Värmland, who are commissioned to save an earl's daughter, who has been kidnapped by an evil and music-hating officer. The band travels to USA and the dangerous town of Desperado City. Here they meet Indians and bandits, look for gold and take part in a bar brawl.

A young man,Erik, breaks into a photo store. But he is discovered by the night watchman and has to fly. During the flight he is picked up by cabaret singer Margot, who offers him protection. Erik, now wanted by the police, stays for a longer time with Margot and becomes her lover. Margot, however, is not alone in recruiting Erik: even the young Li is interested in him.

"A dream play" - This made-for-television film constituted Bergman’s first production of Strindberg’s A Dream Play – a play he would revisit three times more. Gunnar Ollén’s Malmö crew was behind this, for its time, prestigious and costly theatre production, involving more than 40 actors and no less than 75 extras.
