A feature film that intertwines a handful of short fictional stories marked by the anguish that the death of loved ones always causes: two women who miss the same man, an old man who returns to the place where he lived experiences that left a mark on him in his youth, a rural town invaded by its own memories, and a mother who reunites with a son whose life hangs in the balance after insisting on unnecessary distancing.

This incredibly disturbing story follows the exploitation of an apprentice butcher, Hermógenes, and his trial after he murders his boss in broad daylight. Hermógenes, a farmhand from northern Argentina, relocates to Buenos Aires in search of a better life for himself and his young wife, but soon finds himself at the mercy of a corrupt boss. The film is based on a thorough investigation of a real event that happened in Buenos Aires 10 years ago. Almost every scene in the film is inspired by real facts or based on well documented daily practices of the “meat business” and its environment. Both a shocking exposé of unscrupulous practices in the meat industry and a heart-wrenching personal story, El Patrón became one of the most successful Argentine films of 2014.

Three women travel to a distant place to do welfare work. They assist, listen, stay with the unprotected. An old hospital in ruins accommodates them. The imposed group life gets more complex as they start to know each other. The relationship with the others, the community, is also difficult. In a snowy and industrial city in the south of Argentina, Paula, a 23-year-old girl from Buenos Aires, starts an intense job hunt with the sole purpose of saving money. The lack of a job, a home and a stable emotional environment will end up turning that search into a personal and introspective journey.

This series narrates the events that a series of characters experience around different spaces that have been emblematic at a certain moment in history and that are currently forgotten. It combines documentary with fiction to show the neglect produced by abandonment and how it affects the lives of the characters. Each episode deals with a different place.
