Herbert was 32 and Billy 13 when the film was recorded at the Cahulawassee River, Georgia. Herbert was "Toothless man" and Billy played the banjo. Billy lives in Clayton, GA and Herbert outside Canton, NC. The action takes place in Canton, North Carolina.
