Après la sortie de l'album, le groupe entame une longue tournée. L'étape européenne s'est ouverte avec un spectacle unique triomphal à l'ancien théâtre romain de Philippopolis avec l'Orchestre philharmonique de Plovdiv en septembre 2012.

Ce DVD présente une performance fantastique au Metalmania Festival en mars 2006. Le groupe interprète brillamment sa setlist "The best of", ainsi que la reprise de Pink Floyd "Comfortably Numb". On y trouve également une performance du Bacchus String Quartet.

Réalisé par Lasse Hoile (Steven Wilson / Katatonia / Opeth), "A Sort of Homecoming" est un superbe film du retour d'Anathema le 7 mars 2015 dans le cadre spectaculaire de la cathédrale de Liverpool.
