Point Place, petite ville imaginaire du Wisconsin. À la fin des années 1970, Donna Pinciotti est la voisine et petite amie d'Eric Forman ; Michael Kelso, le beau gosse un peu crétin ; Steven Hyde, le fan de rock révolté ; Jackie Burkhart, la minette et Fez, l'étranger d'origine indéfinie, squattent le sous-sol de la maison des Forman, sous l'œil bienveillant de la mère, Kitty, une infirmière "légèrement" alcoolique, et celui agacé du père, Red Forman, vétéran de la guerre de Corée. Ce dernier fait souvent preuve d’un manque de reconnaissance à l'égard de son fils traduisant plutôt une difficulté à montrer ses sentiments. Il y a également Leo, un Hippie, un amateur de marijuana totalement déluré, ou encore Midge et Bob Pinciotti, les parents de Donna et voisins des Forman.

Cette série raconte l'histoire d'un jeune garçon, Jake Long, qui descend par sa mère d'une famille de dragons. En conséquence, il a lui-même hérité de la faculté de se transformer à volonté, partiellement ou entièrement, en un dragon, avec toutes les capacités liées à la créature. Son grand-père maternel et sa sœur possèdent eux aussi cette faculté, contrairement à son père, qui ignore que sa famille est principalement composée de reptiles magiques, et à sa mère (pour laquelle les pouvoirs de dragons ont sauté une génération), qui en revanche le sait et cherche à le cacher à son mari. En tant que Dragon, Jake a pour rôle de défendre son territoire (entre autres, l'Amérique) et toutes les créatures magiques qui y vivent secrètement contre d'éventuelles menaces, notamment des chasseurs (dont certaine d'entre eux est Rose, la petite amie de Jake). Il est à cette fin entraîné par son grand-père.

Let's Make a Deal is also known for the various unusual and crazy costumes worn by audience members, who dressed up that way in order to increase their chances of being selected as a trader. The show was hosted for many years by Monty Hall, who co-created and co-produced the show with Stefan Hatos. The current version is hosted by Wayne Brady, with Jonathan Mangum, Tiffany Coyne, and Cat Gray assisting.

Dinah's show premiered 9 September 1974 and continued through to 4 September 1981. She started out the 70's with Dinah's Place which usually featured one guest and was more of a home oriented show about cooking, crafts and occasionally music. This format lasted until May of 1974. When the show came back in October of 1974 the format had changed drastically to a variety talk show which was called Dinah. and went on until 1981. This show was also known as "Dinah and Friends" during the summer of 1976.

Chet, who is 22, is a college dropout, who spends most of his time sleeping. Alice is a rather robust 16-year-old, who teams up with her mother, to display the independence of women, in the 70's. Jamie is the Capitalist of the family, even though he is only 9. The show is set in the suburbs of Los Angeles, on Elm Street, to be precise. During the 1973 season, the show was host to many celebrity voices, including: Don Knotts, Phyllis Diller, Bea Arthur and many more (many of these guests were carried over from The New Scooby-Doo Movies, which were recored at this time).

The 1994 movie Quiz Show is based on these events. A new version aired in 2000 with Maury Povich hosting, lasting about five months on NBC.

Trato Hecho is the Spanish-language version of the Hatos-Hall game show, Let's Make a Deal, and its title translates to "A deal is made". The show was produced in Spain and in Mexico; in addition, a version was recently produced in Los Angeles, California for the Univision television network. The show lasted from January 10 to December 9, 2005. The host for this version was Guillermo Huesca, with an uncredited model referred to solely as la bella Elizabeth. In addition, several male actors, referred to as los Tratochicos, assisted with some deals and "modeled" some of the prizes and zonks, although they did not describe them, unlike English-language version announcers Jay Stewart and Jonathan Mangum who announced and "modeled" the Zonks.

The show returned in December 15, 1986 on syndication and ran until September 11, 1987. The show was produced by Stefan Hatos-Monty Hall Productions, and was distributed by Viacom Enterprises in its syndicated season. Tom Kennedy was the host for the original ABC version, with Jack Clark serving as announcer. When the show returned in syndication in 1986, production moved to Toronto and producer and joint creator Monty Hall became the host, with Sandy Hoyt as announcer.
