In a Slavonian village, in 1960s, a rich man Marko offers Janja to marry his son Iva, which Janja sees as the perfect opportunity for her dreams to come true.
An early summer evening begins with a game, while one kid counts to three thousand, the others hide in a row of suburban gardens. During that time, a young father spends the rest of his day with someone else’s child, an old man awaits a call that will change his life and the future of a year-long friendship becomes uncertain. The game ends when mosquitoes start rising from the grass.
Sarajevo, after 11th September 2001. Karim works as deminer in the hills around the city while waiting to be sent to Iraq with his group. His main reason - the money. But a love story with unhappy ending will change his life. It's a tale about a love triangle between him, his best friend Juka and Ivana, girl from Belgrade, but at the same time this is a story about the clash between West and Islam and how one young Bosnian copes with this issue.
The plot of the series follows a family that, in part and forcibly, has to live under the same roof. Ana and Boris are a young married couple with whom, due to a combination of circumstances, her sister and her entire family suddenly move in, as well as her and Ana's father.
Budimir and Zlatko are two partners advocates. Apart from being business partners they also share a family connection. Budimir was married to Zlatko's late sister and is now living with his daughter Mia and his mother-in-law Dika, Zlatko's mother. Due to exceptional circumstances Zlatko loses his house and moves in with his mother, brother-in-law and niece.
