A grandmother, a mother and her little girl meet at an oriental restaurant to negotiate the girl's transfer to a better school. Because they didn't manage to get the floating act, the grandmother calls her friend from a prestigious school to find out what the transfer possibilities are. After the phone call, the two women have to choose between a disability act, through which the niece will have to simulate a disability, or an ethnicity act which, as a consequence, will lead to the expulsion of a Roma child. Despite the grotesque bargain, the women end their lunch with a Turkish dessert

Angela, assistante de production, parcourt la ville de Bucarest pour le casting d’une publicité sur la sécurité au travail commandée par une multinationale. Cette « Alice au pays des merveilles de l'Est » rencontre dans son épuisante journée : des grands entrepreneurs et de vrais harceleurs, des riches et des pauvres, des gens avec de graves handicaps et des partenaires de sexe, son avatar digital et une autre Angela sorti d'un vieux film oublié, des occidentaux, un chat, et même l'horloge du Chapelier Fou...

In 1942, three Jewish teenagers were executed in Bucharest. They were accused of distributing banknotes with anti-fascist slogans: «Down with Hitler! Down with Antonescu!» Ten years later, the mother of one of them writes a letter to the Romanian Communist Party in an attempt to clear her son's name. He was not even allowed to say goodbye to his family. Stylized in a retro black-and-white aesthetic, the film by the renowned Romanian director Andreea Vălean presents a monologue by the mother (portrayed by Katia Pascariu). Desperately trying to find the right words, she recounts the story of the cruel murder of innocent young boys, captured on camera.
