A living human being's funny adventure in hell. The film focuses on the Hindi mythology of the God of Death and how his messengers snatches the life of any living being who has supposedly completed his days on the Earth. The story focuses on the mistake of two messengers who mistakenly pronounce a man dead even before he was supposed to be. Knowing of this goof-up, the god of death gets scared as no living person is supposed to enter 'Hell". Nevertheless, due to the good deeds performed by this human being while he was alive, he is given permission to travel to Heaven where he begins searching for his wife who had passed away sometime back.

Subrata est comptable dans une banque. Sa paye, quoique modeste, permet de nourrir ses parents avec lesquels il vit, ainsi que sa femme Arati, leur fils Beni et une domestique. A Calcutta, tout le monde n'a pas cette chance-là. Subrata le sait. Il sait aussi qu'ils ne peuvent pas se permettre d'écarts. Afin de pouvoir vivre plus largement, Arati, un jour, se met en tête de trouver un travail.

Lalu and Chinta are neighbours and extremely good friends. One morning both of die and reach hell. However Yandyut exclaims that there was a mistake and that they were not the individuals he intended to kill. He orders Lalu and Chinta to be sent back to the earth but the latter claim for a tour of hell as compensation. Soon the friends find themselves back on earth but soon realize that their souls have been exchanges in error. This leads to a series of confusion of themselves as well as their near and dear ones. In the end their souls come back to themselves and there is no bound to their happiness, much to the amusement of the rest who did not know why they were so happy.
