For the music historian Jakob collapses his well-ordered, quiet world, when he realizes that he can earn no more money with his original work. When he hears that a Türkpop label is looking for a summer hit, he sees his chance. Although this genre of music is completely alien to him, he decides to expand his knowledge in this area in order to find "the" summer hit and be able to pay his rent again. At the beginning of the weekend, the detective commissioner Tina Campenhausen wanted to spend with her family, she is called to a hotel in Travemünde. Guest Brederstein lies dead in the tub. Berger beichtet seiner Frau (Corinna Harfouch) den angeblich einmaligen Seitensprung, mit dem Mord habe er aber nichts zu tun. Bergers Familie droht an der Belastung zu zerbrechen… Die Auflösung steht im Hintergrund, der Film konzentriert sich auf das Drama im Hause Berger. Fabelhaft: die dynamische Kamera und das auch in kleinen Rollen nuanciert agierende Ensemble.

Divorced and single bailiff Carla Schön has many problems with her pubescent daughter Eva. However, she cannot use these problems because she has to work in her everyday life. Even in her hobby, orchestral playing, she is absolutely tense. But then she meets the musician Andi Jannings and falls in love with him. He is a dry alcoholic and is in constant dispute with his ex-wife. To make matters worse, he is also a caretaker at Eva's school. Torn between her new love and daughter, Carla soon finds that her next job has to do with Andi. He has money problems and, accordingly, has not made any maintenance payments to his ex-wife.

La série est une adaptation de la série New York, police judiciaire, mais aucunement décidée et produite par Dick Wolf, contrairement aux autres adaptations des séries du concept New York District (Paris, enquêtes criminelles, Londres, police judiciaire).

À Francfort-sur-le-Main, le détective privé allemand Josef Matula, ancien policier, résout des affaires criminelles tout en collaborant avec un avocat qui est également son meilleur ami (Me Dieter Renz de la saison 1 à 8, Me Rainer Franck de la saison 8 à 17, Me Johannes Voss de la saison 17 à 20 et Me Markus Lessing de la saison 21 à 32), en l'aidant à innocenter ses clients injustement accusés par la police.
