Ratan Sarkhel

The life of Anadi, a dedicated employee of a publishing house, changes after a woman working in his office expresses interest in him.

Several interested parties go in search of a sleep-generating machine which was made 150 years ago by a scientist. However, a little boy is named the scientist's heir and becomes his legacy.

Based on Khaled Hosseini's novel 'The Kite Runner' the story is about two childhood friends- one friend's search for his friend's son, taken captive by terrorists.It's a story of redemption-of a coward emerging as a hero but the backdrop is different from the original novel-it's set on a fictitious place called Ishanpur and the dialect used by the characters is called Ishania-since it's a fictitious language so there will be subtitles for the entire length of the film.

Three stories show the changing face of morality, the degeneration of values, the increasing pollution of the spoken language, and the changing social fabric of Bengal.

Mainak Bhaumik's film, Bhaggyo Lokkhi, will be released in theaters on January 10, 2025.
