Tambour et son ami Blaise (Kotto) sont finalement vendus au propriétaire de plantation Hammond Maxwell (Oates) et sont toutes deux prises pour sa plantation au travail. La petite amie de tambour Regine (Grier) est acheté par Maxwell aussi bien et est pris à la plantation pour ses propres désirs personnels.
