An all-black horror comedy starring Mantan Moreland and sometimes partner (and straight man) F.E. Miller, Lucky Ghost is amusing low-brow fare that exploits the more base, stereotypical elements of old-time black life (chicken thievin', gamblin', runnin' from ghosteses) for laughs -- sort of like the BET of its day. Mantan and Miller win a house-cum-casino in a craps game, only to discover that the deceased former owners aren't too pleased that their old home is being used for "jitterbugging, jiving, and hullaballooing". I hate hullaballooing. The ghosts decide to scare everyone off by opening doors and windows, pulling out chairs, even playing the drums.

A female warden takes over at a state reform school and attempts to bring about needed changes. Restored in 2020 by the Academy Film Archive with additional funding from the National Endowment for the Arts from a 16mm print donated by Giancarlo Esposito and Laurence Fishburne.

When the President and Speaker of the House are killed in a building collapse, and the Vice-President declines the office due to age and ill-health, Senate President pro tempore Douglas Dilman (James Earl Jones) suddenly becomes the first black man to occupy the Oval Office. The events from that day to the next election when he must decide if he will actually run challenge his skills as a politician and leader.

Bob grows up to be a brilliant lawyer, while Henry decides that a life of crime is the best path to easy riches. Gangster "Bull" Connors frames Henry, now known as Monte, on a murder charge, and it is up to Bob to clear his brother.

An undercover police woman poses as a nighclub entertainer to catch the main man behind the racketeers going on around Harlem. Meanwhile two men are falling for her.

Unknown to Kenny, Downey, the head of a gambling syndicate, has placed a $100,000 bet against the Gilmore team.

Le lieutenant Columbo est le policier le plus célèbre de la police criminelle de Los Angeles. Dans Columbo, les assassins sont des citoyens aisés, voire fortunés. Ils ne sont pas à un assassinat près et n'ont que faire d'un petit fonctionnaire de la police locale qu'ils perçoivent sans grande estime. Un policier qui n' a rien en commun avec ces confrères, il est vêtu d'habits modestes et fatigués, d'un imperméable froissé, roulant dans une veille Peugeot 403 délabrée. Il ne porte pas d'arme, s'exprime toujours avec une grande courtoisie et prête un grand intérêt aux observations et analyses des moindres détails. Ces assassins se croient à l'abri, dégainant un alibi préparé et assurés d'avoir commis le crime parfait retournent à leur vie quotidienne. Mais Columbo n'a pas son pareil pour harceler d'une dernière question, les pousser à bout pour qu'ils commenttent une erreur. Un véritable jeu du chat et de la souris s'engage entre Columbo et les suspects.
