This is the story of Mityo and his son Vasko, who live in a poor area, near to the Bulgarian-Turkish-Greek Border. Mityo had lost everything that has mattered to him – his wife, his work, the confidence of his son, Vasko. In order to get him back, Mityo has to find forgiveness and pay for his sin, done 25 years ago.

Maxim is an artistic examination of the unconscious, oppressed, forgotten and traumatic past, of the reality full of treachery and violence, which casts a shadow on the life of a young man, forcing him to kill in order to save, to kill in order to continue living, to run in order to get away from the shadow in which he exists. Maxim is a synonym and a way to confront the dualism of the awareness where the subconscious mind and destiny are the carriers of the story in the movie - alter ego.

Un lieutenant du S.W.A.T est tiraillé entre sa loyauté envers ses origines modestes, dont ses amis de la rue avec qui il a grandi et qui n'ont pas aussi bien tourné que lui, et son devoir envers ses co-équipiers. Une dualité qui finit par prendre tout son sens lorsqu'il se voit chargé d'organiser une unité hautement qualifiée pour résoudre les crimes à Los Angeles.

Un jeune policier infiltre un réseau mafieux puissant et se retrouve au coeur d'un univiers où la violence, la trahison et la tentation font la loi.
