Liban 1975. Le père de Talal est enlevé par des inconnus et sa mère lui demande de rentrer à la maison pour assumer le rôle du chef de clan. Il quitte Soraya et part rejoindre sa campagne natale pour mener une action armée. Sa fiancée enceinte et désespérée, voulant l'aider, organise l'enlèvement d'un homme d'affaires pour l'échanger contre le père. Elle s'associe avec un photographe de presse, Nabil, qui a besoin d'argent.
