Les aventures de Candy, une petite orpheline en quête du bonheur, recueillie par Soeur Maria et Mlle Pony, les deux dirigeantes du foyer Pony. La fillette est ensuite adoptée par la famille Legrand. Elle devient la demi-soeur d'Elisa et Daniel, deux garnements qui lui mènent la vie dure mais n'auront pas raison de sa détermination à surmonter les épreuves.
