Univision broadcast 2 hour episodes of La Fea Más Bella from September 13, 2010 to April 15, 2011 La Fea Más Bella also won the TV y Novelas award for best telenovela of the year. In 2009 it was dubbed into Arabic and aired on MTV Lebanon as Letty instead of La Fea Más Bella. "The Best Telenovela of the Year 2007".

Victoria a une relation extra-conjugale avec Antonio Lombardo, un ami de son mari Samuel, ce qui aboutit à la naissance de jumeaux, Bruno et Raquel. Antonio aussi a un fils, Alejandro, avec sa femme Adriana. Après la mort de leur époux respectif, ils se réunissent et se marient. Toutefois, ils taisent à leurs enfants qu'ils sont demi-frères de sang, ce qui révèlerait leur infidélité passée. Au lieu de cela, ils les élèvent dans l'idée qu'ils sont demi-frères par le mariage de leurs parents. Les années passent et Bruno devient un homme irresponsable qui ne respecte pas la loi. Alejandro, au contraire est très responsable. Antonio préfère Alejandro à Bruno et décide que Bruno n'héritera pas de sa fortune à sa mort. Antonio et Victoria ont un rendez-vous au lycée de Bruno pour discuter de son comportement. On leur annonce qu'il est renvoyé. Tandis qu'ils quittent l'établissement, ils se disputent violemment et, distrait, Antonio tombe dans un trou. Victoria est très fâchée à cause de la dispute et continue de marcher sans s'arrêter pour aider son mari. Alors qu'Antonio tente de se libérer, un homme a cyclomoteur le renverse et Antonio meurt. Victoria est veuve de nouveau. Quelque temps plus tard, Fernando, ami de Alejandro, tombe amoureux de Victoria, mais leur amour est sans avenir à cause de leur différence d'âge. Dix ans plus tard, Alejandro revient pour prendre possession de l'héritage que lui a laissé son père Antonio, ce qui fait naître une jalousie maladive en son frère Bruno…
