Two days before the wedding, Dragana decides that she will not marry the weak and predictable Momo. His headstrong father Leso strikes a deal with her – to act as the bride just for the day. But instead of saving the family’s honor, it only starts a traumatic farce for everyone involved.

Father Peter fears that the universe has become indifferent. God no longer intervenes in earthly affairs. Peter's wife abandoned him, his son disobeys him and his mother suffers from Alzheimer's and hardly ever recognizes him. When Peter becomes an obstacle to a large property sale in his small island parish, a group of interesting, but vengeful villagers decides to force him to leave. Using very creative methods, they convince the entire superstitious village that Peter is the cause of all the troubles on their island.

Une fille et un garçon. Une jeune femme et un jeune homme. Un couple d'âge moyen se séparant. Les rues de Belgrade sont vides, les histoires de ces trois couples s'emmêlent au hasard. Au fur et à mesure que l'histoire se déroule, une image plus large d'un seul couple émerge. Ces trois couples sont en fait les trois étapes d'une seule vie.

Balsa (10) and Petar (10) are best friends and cousins coming from different social classes. Peter invites Balsa to his baptism, which is encountered by disapproval from Balsa's mother because of suspicious stories about Peter's father.
