« Mais c'est impossible ! » s'écrie le réalisateur Higurashi (Takayumi Hamatsu) quand on lui propose de réaliser un film de zombies sans budget, en un seul plan-séquence et pour une diffusion en direct. Le court-métrage de 37 minutes qui en résulte est effectivement bien décevant, les acteurs jouent mal, les décors sont sans intérêt et en plus la caméra tremble. Mais tout commence réellement après le court-métrage : transporté un mois auparavant, le spectateur découvre alors le film sous un nouvel angle en suivant les coulisses de la production, depuis le moment où la chaîne de télévision a proposé au réalisateur ce projet impossible jusqu'au tournage du film.

Akira Okuda worked as an assistant at the Visual Concept Planning Department of Kanagawa University of Arts, accomplishing his work aimlessly without passion.
