A free and imaginary portrait of Piero Ciampi (1934-1980), singer-songwriter and poet from Livorno, which takes its name from one of his last texts. Through the evocation of illusory spaces, real places, interventions of those who were his friends and knew him, we proceed by flashes and suggestions to the staging of an artistic parable, nourished by tumultuous love, contempt for life, alcohol and genius, which has left an indelible mark in the history of songwriting.

Segment 1 - Ultimo Metrò (Le dernier métro): Deux inconnus se rencontrent dans le métro et, après un échange rapide de plaisanteries, se livrent à une relation brève mais intense, assistée par le préposé du métro. L’homme voudrait aussi participer, mais ses espoirs seront déçus. Segment 2- Sogno (Le rêve): Une belle fille s’endort sur la plage et rêve d’une série de rencontres curieuses avec un chauffeur routier, un ancien combattant et un vendeur ambulant. À un moment donné, les rêves et la réalité se confondent.. Segment 3 - Rapporti Impropri (relations impropres): Une jeune pianiste orpheline est adoptée par un oncle, dont elle est amoureuse depuis toujours. La fille tisse des relations avec tous les membres de la famille, sauf avec sa cousine qui la rejette: à la fin, elle sera obligée de devenir religieuse.
