Shakib est un travailleur journalier sans abri qui a perdu sa femme et son fils dans un tremblement de terre il y a plusieurs années. Ces deux dernières années, il a entretenu une relation avec Ladan, une prostituée sourde et muette. Le chantier sur lequel il travaille se révèle être le lieu de tournage d'un film sur les atrocités commises par Hitler pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale. Contre toute attente, il se voit offrir une maison et la chance de sa vie. Lorsque Ladan apprend qu'il a joué un rôle dans le film et qu'il a reçu une maison, elle se rend sur son lieu de travail pour demander de l'aide et un logement. Le plan de Shakib pour la cacher échoue et menace de détruire sa chance de devenir quelqu’un.

At 80 years old, Aziz is a widow and the matriarch of the family. She suffers from progressive dementia and increasingly needs her children's care. After the unexpected death of his wife, a man struggles to deal with the aftermath under the eyes of the local villagers.
