Børge Ousland

Aventurier, navigateur, alpiniste, Mike Horn est sans aucun doute le plus grand explorateur du monde à l'heure actuelle. Avec la Mike Horn a un défi fou en tête: traverser l’océan Arctique via le pôle Nord. Pour réaliser cet exploit, il souhaite atteindre le point de départ en voilier, avant de se lancer à pied sur la banquise dans cette expédition, et retrouver de l’autre côté son bateau mené par son équipage. L’alpiniste est accompagné dans son aventure par le célèbre explorateur polaire norvégien Børge Ousland. Pendant 87 jours, ils affrontent ensemble les éléments dans l’obscurité de la nuit polaire. Lors de ce périple dangereux, les deux aventuriers font preuve d’une détermination sans faille.

Børge Ousland, one of the world’s greatest polar explorers, is joined by the no less famous South African adventurer Mike Horn for a 1,500 km journey on skis across the polar cap. In addition to the extreme cold and the physical and psychological challenges caused by the darkness, there are the almost daily dangers of this ice that is getting so thin that it requires enormous risks to maintain their progress.
