Yoko Izumi

Caught up in the swirling tide of student protests and riots, a young man becomes the unintentional murderer of a policeman. Handcuffed and enroute to jail, he escapes from the authorities and comes across a young woman on the beach, who is intent on committing suicide. The two embark on a passionate and violent affair.

Dans l’auberge où il travaille, Tora est amoureux de Kinuyo, dont le mari est porté disparu. Il retourne à Shibamata où il parle d’elle. Sakura et Hiroshi l’accompagne pour arranger leur mariage.

De retour à Tokyo, Tora est furieux de découvrir que sa chambre a été louée. L’oncle souhaite aider financièrement Sakura et Hiroshi pour qu’ils construisent leur maison. S’ensuit une grave dispute.
