Director Robert Dornhelm casts Bud Cort for alter-ego purposes in She Dances Alone. Cort plays a documentary director, seeking to produce a film on the life of controversial ballet star Vaslav Nijinsky. He finds his goal of objectivity blocked by Nijinsky's elderly real-life daughter Kyra, who is as stocky as her father was sylph-like. Kyra's uncompromising insistence on total control over the project literally shapes (and frequently distorts) the film before our eyes. Adding to the Pirandellian atmosphere of the Australian-produced She Dances Alone is Max Von Sydow, also playing "himself."

The title characters of the series are a family of machine-enhanced human beings possessing unique powers after being augmented with bionic technology, much like The Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman. Each family member is given specific bionic powers, and thus they form a superhero team named Bionic Six.

À l'origine, les Autobots et les Decepticons, des robots intelligents transformables, se livraient bataille sur la planète Cybertron. Depuis des millions d'années, la planète Cybertron est victime d'une guerre civile robotique. D'un côté, les Autobots, menés par leur chef Optimus Prime et de l'autre, les Decepticons dirigés par Mégatron. Après des millénaires de luttes, la balance semble tourner à l'avantage des Decepticons et les Autobots ont perdu peu à peu tout contrôle. À bord de l'engin, aucun signe de vie. 4 millions d'années plus tard, l'ordinateur de bord, Télétraan 1, se remet en marche et commence à rassembler les robots, Autobots comme Decepticons. L'Arche envoie des sondes dans le monde entier pour repérer les engins utilisés par les humains, principalement les véhicules et recueille un maximum d'informations. Toutes ces bases de données serviront à l'ordinateur pour reconstruire les robots et les adapter. Optimus Prime et ses Autobots vont affronter de nouveau Mégatron et ses Decepticons sur notre planète. Tandis que les Decepticons ont juré de s'emparer des ressources d'énergie de la Terre, les Autobots s'allient aux humains Spike (La Flèche) et Sparkplug (Malabar) pour les en empêcher.
