Mika Kumagai

Junk Food consists of four intertwining stories. The first and fourth sections show the morning routine of an blind, old Japanese woman, waking up, buying bread and milk, praying at the family alter; however, it is the second segment where the true story begins.

Miki (Kaoru Mitsumune), Aya (Mika Kumagai), Megumi (Miyako Takayama) and Haruka (Yukiyo Sono) are friends in the same photography club at their university. They often spend their time together at "Tide-Pool" tea shop, run by Miki's parents. One month before they graduate, they girls plan a graduation trip, but Miki is unable to join due to her studies. Also, Haruka lost the girls' trip money. They all make up, but next month they'll go their separate ways. Miki feels empty ...

A bus full of cult members gets stuck in snow. The cult has to stay in a mountain hotel. Strange things start to happen...

Tokusou Robo Janperson was the 1993 installment in Toei Company Limited's Metal Hero Series. The series revolved around Janperson, a robotic detective who patrolled the streets of Tokyo and fought against three different underworld organizations who used super technology to subjugate the masses. Unlike most Metal Heroes, a monster-of-the-week was rarely shown and most of the villains are criminals akin to television police dramas. The name given to this series by Toei for international distribution is Jumperson.
