Documentary about legendary Swedish jazz club "Nalen" featuring interviews with old musicians and singers, and old clips from the place in its glory days

It's the early 20s, just after World War I. In Sweden, restrictions on alcohol are harder than most people like and so, smuggling is abundant. In this particular little town, smuggling is ruled by one man, who is the king of smugglers. The smugglers who work for him don't get to keep much of the profit themselves, but if they don't work for him, they get in trouble, which his henchmen make sure. However, Albert Jansson arrives in town and starts taking up the competition with the smuggler king. Meanwhile, the police, together the customs office, try to catch the smugglers.

Merchant Valentin Skog runs the small town's grocery shop and folk park with little revenue but a lot of heart. But the no-good profiteers brothers Grym has their eyes on his business, and will use any means. The dirtier the better! But they haven't counted on "The Doll"- a fresh breeze from the big city - or rather storm wind - who blows life in the struggle against the crooks.

The most popular bands in Sweden are travelling from Stockholm to Gothenburg for a pop contest. The problem is that no one has the money needed to get to Gothenburg, and no one wants the other bands to reach the destination. Some of the most popular Swedish bands of the 1960s figures in the movie: Lee Kings, Spotnicks, Ola & The Janglers, Jerry Williams & The Violents, Shanes, Sten & Stanley and Hounds.
