Rita and Sue are two teenagers living on a run-down council estate in Bradford, who both share a job babysitting for Bob and Michelle's children. Whilst giving them a lift home one night, Bob decides to take Rita and Sue up to a deserted, country-side landscape. Clearly knowing what he has in mind, Rita and Sue are only too happy to oblige and both have a sexual encounter with him that becomes a regular occurrence.

James Bolam portrays serial killer Dr. Harold Shipman in this made-for-TV drama. The film follows the story of Shipman, a general practitioner who throughout his career is believed to have killed as many as 250 of his patients. When the high death rate of his practice was investigated, it was discovered that he had given lethal doses of diamorphine to a vast number of his patients. He was put on trial where he was convicted of 15 murders and sentenced to life imprisonment.

Debbie, a working class single mother from Leeds, moves her family to Bradford, where they find themselves in an ethnic minority. Daughter Leah must adapt to being the only white girl at school.

Policier, il va se mettre au service de la police de Manchester et Salford où il va devoir faire face à différents chocs entre sa manière de travailler et celle de l'époque. La série ajoute à cela un côté surréaliste puisque Sam Tyler parle la nuit à une fille à travers sa télévision. La série entretient aussi un mystère sur ce qui est arrivé à Tyler : a-t-il réellement voyagé dans le temps ? Est-il dans le comas en 2006 et ceci n'est que le fruit de son imagination ? Ou encore, vit-il en 1973 et est-il mentalement instable avec en plus des visions du futur ? Des questions auxquelles les réponses seront apportées au fur et à mesure.

GBH was a seven-part British television drama written by Alan Bleasdale shown in the summer of 1991 on Channel 4. The protagonists were Michael Murray, the Militant tendency-supporting Labour leader of a city council in the North of England and Jim Nelson, the headmaster of a school for disturbed children. The series was controversial partly because Murray appeared to be based on Derek Hatton, former Deputy Leader of Liverpool City Council — in an interview in the G.B.H. DVD Bleasdale recounts an accidental meeting with Hatton before the series, who indicates that he has caught wind of Bleasdale's intentions but does not mind as long as the actor playing him is "handsome". In normal parlance, the initials "GBH" refer to the criminal charge of grievous bodily harm - however, the actual intent of the letters is that it is supposed to stand for Great British Holiday.

The Visit is a British television programme starring Iain McKee, John Henshaw and Steve Edge. This comedy is set entirely in the visiting room of the prison HMP Radford Hill, where cunning and mischievous inmates do dodgy drug deals and snatch conjugal rights whilst their loved ones visit. All this activity happens under the watchful gaze of a bunch of bored and lazy Prison Officers doing the bare minimum to get the job done. The BBC revealed The Visit is part of a series trilogy with I'm With Stupid and Thieves Like Us; although sadly none of these sitcoms received a second series.
