Dans un restaurant-cabaret où se retrouve la colonie étrangère, Harry Smith, aventurier américain installé en Syrie, fait la connaissance de la belle et mystérieuse Violette, venue avec Féroud, dont elle est la maîtresse. La soirée est perturbée par un attentat. Féroud convoque des commerçants suspectés de trafic avec les rebelles. Parmi eux, Smith, qui leur vend des armes, et Balukjian, prêt à tout pour éviter les ennuis.

When two showgirls decide to leave South America and head for home, they sweet talk the purser of a clipper ship into giving them berths.
