Jorge is 70 years old and is one of the most capricious and dedicated janitors at the Paradise Motel, except for a single detail: He secretly records the audios of the room’s guests. Selling these audios to Alberto earns him an extra income as well as affection, even though Jorge no longer remembers what his own pleasure sounds like.

Before It's Gone is a dramatic and dark-humored story about Almeida, a regular 30 year old man who discovers he's got only one week left to live. In this week, he has to make arrangements for his own death, such as inviting relatives and friends, getting his own death certificate and meeting with his ex-girlfriend.

In an old, dilapidated mansion in downtown São Paulo, an old Shakespearean actor exiled from the stage lives with his ghosts. In his bed, surrounded by red curtains taken from an abandoned theater, he dreams of the plague and fire spreading throughout the country. A strange community forms around the old actor.
