Lorenz est un auteur gay à succès à qui la vie sourit depuis de nombreuses années. Mais le ciel lui tombe subitement sur la tête le jour où il apprend qu’il doit retourner vivre en province pour s’occuper de sa mère. Bien sûr il l’aime, sa maman adorée, Rosie ! Mais seul, à 40 ans, gay et repartir vivre dans un bled paumé, sa vie est ruinée… Pour couronner le tout, Rosie, encore malicieuse et espiègle malgré son âge, a bien décidé de jouer avec les nerfs de son fils et de lui en faire voire de toutes les couleurs. La nouvelle vie de Lorenz s’annonce pour le moins cocasse et mouvementée… D’autant plus quand l’amour décide de frapper à nouveau à sa porte !

People go through life with forgotten dreams. They bravely contend another day when something goes off the rails. A man disappears into the woods. A season is lost. Lovers overcome time. Hardly noticeably, the rules of the world shift. And suddenly new paths open up in people's minds.

A young man happens upon a strange, isolated village which is oppressively ruled by foreign soldiers. When he tries to inquire into what is going on, he is forced to flee to an island where a renegade medical doctor tries to force him into submission.

René is sitting in his car driving through his drab reality. Suddenly, he has to sneeze. He pauses and listens. After a few quiet moments, he murmurs, “Bless you”. Then he moves towards the camera and continues: “I am a scream without an echo.” The film is the tragicomedy of a man searching for his echo, the way out of his loneliness. All paths are blocked and his quest becomes more and more of an odyssey. Evading his own insanity and narrowly escaping death, he gradually notices that the search can only end with oneself.

Set in Zurich in the 1950s, a special agent who is near retirement receives a major assignment: Bring down Harry Wind, a top PR manager who has been accused of spying.

Max and Chrige, a married couple of Swiss linguists, hike the Alps searching for rare words still uttered by the rural population. While on his way to a conference, the husband's plane disappears over the sea. Chrige is advised to give up hope of ever seeing him alive, but her heart tells her otherwise. Max comes ashore on a tropical island with another survivor, the plane's pilot. But where are they in reality?
