Sept condamnés à morts s'évadent de leur prison et prennent tout un centre commercial en otage. Rudy Ray, un ancien flic devenu mercenaire, apprend que son jeune frère fait partie des hors-la-loi. Il va devoir reprendre du service et va donc affronter les preneurs d'otages à sa façon.

Space pirates, led by diabolical Colonel Fraser, take over a cargo ship carrying anti-matter explosive and an important official. Space marines, led by Captain Gray, must stop their evil plans.

Police Officer Billy Rains (Mike Norris) and his partner Darren Steel (David Rael) are finishing their last shift together, after which Rains intends to leave for retirement in Mexico. Everything changes, however, when the pair respond to a simple call that turns deadly, leading them on a high-speed chase throughout the city and killing Rains. Paired with a new partner, Smith (Fred Williamson), Steel goes on a quest to bring justice to his murdered partner and the city.

Cette série se déroule dans l'aéroport international de Los Angeles, dont le code d'identification est LAX, et met en scène la compétition acharnée entre la responsable des pistes et celui des terminaux, afin d'obtenir le poste du directeur de l'aéroport qui s'est suicidé.
