Hiroki and Kanata have been together since they were children. One day Hiroki is caught up in an accident while trying to save a little girl. The next thing he knows, he is looking down on his own body. Seperated from his body, Kanata, and everything else, he tries to figure out just what is going on. Why is he outside his body which is living on as if nothing has changed, how can he convince Kanata that he is there, and who is the strange girl, Fhalei, who keeps appearing for him?

Azusa Kawahara is the soccer team manager who is going out with Ikumi, one of the team members. Lately Ikumi has been busy after school and this is making Azusa uncomfortable.

A la fin des années 90, le Japon est devenu la première puissance économique mondiale. Mais depuis peu, une recrudescence d'attaques terroristes a mené à la formation d'un groupe spécial de la police : les Forces Spéciales de Sécurité. Pour lutter contre la violence des terroristes, six agents triés sur le volet ont le "permis de tuer" et peuvent agir au-dessus des lois de l'archipel. Back in the era of Empress Himiko, Japan was ruled from the shadows by a secret chaste of shamans called Kidō (鬼道). Although they were exterminated by fear of their power, some of them survived through the centuries, hoping to recover their power by summoning the Four Holy Beasts in human bodies. Their last attempt, performed by esotericists in the Mount Koya, was stopped in 1971 by one of their own creations, a monk with the power of Genbu named Gendo.
