Slowly, he falls in love with her and must decide whether he will stay a thief or start a new life with Doris.

Lorsqu'un ministre britannique est sauvagement assassiné par un membre de l'IRA, le ministère de la défense décide alors d'envyer le capitaine Harry Brown dans le quartier de Falls Road à Belfast, bien connu pour ses activités pro-républicaines. Sa mission est d'infiltrer la population locale, découvrir l'identité de l'assassin et de l'éliminer dans son propre quartier. Mais l'IRA réalise qu'un espion s'est glissé dans ses rangs et ordonne à ce même assassin, Billy Downes, de traquer Harry.
