Juan et Marcos, deux petits arnaqueurs sympathiques mais sans envergure de Buenos Aires, se rencontrent au moment où ils s'apprêtent à commettre un même cambriolage. Durant vingt-quatre heures, ils s'associent pour voler une planche de neuf timbres rarissimes appelés les Nueve Reinas. Ils espèrent ainsi les revendre à un collectionneur vénézuélien. Pour mener à bien leur affaire, ils font appel à Valeria, la séduisante soeur de Marcos.

A policewoman returns with her young daughter to her hometown to care for her dying mother. The murder of a young girl will keep her there longer than expected. She will try to solve a case that no one seems to care about, risking everything on the path.

Meanwhile Maria joins a group of women who investigate the fate of their disappeared relatives. In 1983, after the fall of the dictatorship, the two friends meet again.
