Montréal, un soir où Noël tombe en plein mois de Ramadan ou carême musulman, les destins de deux Algériens d'origine convergent momentanément pour faire resurgir un passé dont ils se croyaient débarrassés. Fuyant la maison et toute forme de festivité sous le prétexte que la soirée peut être très lucrative, Amokrane, chauffeur de taxi, recueille Kahina, jeune professionnelle un peu perdue qui tente de rejoindre son ex-mari pour récupérer sa fille. Amokrane reconnaît en elle son idole, une ancienne vedette de la pop en Algérie, qu'il croyait morte. La nuit et le taxi seront le théâtre du choc de leurs deux drames, de leurs deux solitudes. Dans le rétroviseur, l'Algérie resurgit, s'immisce dans tous les silences, avec son cortège d'ombres et de douleurs que l'on croyait enfouies sous les neiges de Montréal.

Aksel wants to get back together with his ex-wife and is using his daughter as a go-between until the day when his ex-wife suddenly brings home a new boyfriend.

Cette série tragi-comique prend place au sein de l’Orchestre symphonique de Copenhague, lieu de travail avec ses propres règles et hiérarchies. Les luttes de pouvoir, les jalousies et les difficultés relationnelles y sont légion. Dans cet environnement naît une étrange amitié entre le directeur adjoint nouvellement nommé, Jeppe, et le second clarinettiste, l’irritable et solitaire Bo, qui vit pour la musique et n’a qu’un seul objectif : devenir premier clarinettiste.
