The 5th woman unfolds autumn 1994. An elderly man found in a gillrad pitfall impaled to death on the sharp sharpened bamboo poles, ecstatic praise of crows. Shortly afterwards disappears a florist without a trace and he also found executed in the forest. Kurt Wallander and his colleagues will soon understand that the attacks is all about revenge.

Kurt Wallander est un inspecteur de police dans la petite ville d'Ystad, au sud de la Suède. Séparé de sa femme, il est le père d'une jeune fille, Linda, qui fait tout pour qu'il rencontre quelqu'un. Mais cet homme se consacre nuit et jour à résoudre ses enquêtes qui lui sont confiées avec son équipe, aux dépens de sa vie privée. Son seul objectif est d'arrêter les meurtriers. Alors qu'il lutte toujours pour découvrir la vérité, Wallander se trouve confronté aux aspects les plus sombres de la société suédoise.

Strisser på Samsø is a Danish television series in 12 episodes, written and directed by Eddie Thomas Petersen. Produced by Per Holst Filmproduktion, it was first broadcast on TV2 in 1997-1998. The story tells how Christian Torp, a police officer who has lost his wife in an unsuccessful robbery, brings his daughter Sille to the Danish island of Samsø looking for peace and quiet. They have difficulty in integrating into a society full of problems where everyone knows everything about everybody, but they find a friend in Ulla, a secretary. Among others, it stars Lars Bom, Amalie Dollerup and Jesper Milsted. The series was entitled "Island Cop" when broadcast in subtitled form on Ireland's TG4 channel.
