Space fighters led by Lieutenant Hugo Lang are dispatched to get the twins back, but they come under attack and Lang is the sole survivor when his ship crashes on the asteroid Titan III. A newly regenerated Doctor and Peri become involved and help Jaconda's elderly former ruler Professor Edgeworth, who is really a Time Lord named Azmael, to defeat Mestor and free the planet's bird-like indigenous people from the gastropods' reign of terror. Azmael, however, sacrifices his life in the process.

Set at Markov's School of Dance and Drama, it was a portmanteau show in which different students took centre stage from week to week. It showed training, auditions and performances.
Paul Nicholls, in one of his early roles, played up-and-coming star Tim Marshall. The role reflected his own later life as Tim had to deal with attention from the press and the public.
The series has also been airing on ABC in Australia.

Diffusés juste après Doctor Who sur la BBC Three, ils n'ont pas été diffusés en France. Cependant des versions abrégées sont disponibles en tant que suppléments sur les DVD des saisons de la série publiés par France Télévisions.
La série a été annulée, dans un souci d'économie, par la BBC en septembre 2011. Le dernier épisode a été diffusé le 1er octobre 2011 après le final de la Saison 6 de Doctor Who.
