Au Paraguay de nos jours, Victor a dix-sept ans et survit comme il peut en effectuant quelques livraisons avec sa brouette, dans un marché couvert. Un vendredi soir, il accepte une proposition inhabituelle contre de l’argent : livrer sept boîtes – dont il ne sait rien du contenu – en échange de la moitié d’un billet de cent dollars. L’autre moitié du billet déchiré ne lui sera remise qu’après la mission terminée. Mais ce qui ne devait être qu’une simple livraison se transforme rapidement en course-poursuite haletante à laquelle Victor se trouve fatalement mêlé, mais dont il ignore tout…

He tells the story of his miracles and the exploits of the Gaucho, who knew how to do justice in times of war.

Nina is a young woman of 20 years old who lives in Asunción in 1947 in the middle of the Paraguayan Civil War. She longs to be a singer, but is forced to work as a maid in a conservative environment after her family escapes. Although, she puts herself at the service of the revolution and frees various political prisoners, including Raúl with whom she will have an affair. However, she must flee the country after becoming pregnant and her lover having abandoned her.
