During a police intervention, a macabre discovery is made in the trunk of a car. Josef and Oskar find themselves in the line of fire of a seemingly cold-blooded killer. But things are not what they seem.

A group of friends, having been told of a strange hermetic hippie-like society in the Swedish wilderness, set off on an adventure to find it. As they are drawn deeper into the forest, mysterious events start to unsettle the dynamics of the group, reality begins to shift in ways none of them could have imagined, and relations between the friends become volatile.

This is a story of isolation and hope, of a writer in exile. The writer is banished for her attack on religious fundamentalism and patriarchy and her cat is suddenly left alone.

Madde lives a hectic life in Stockholm. One day she receives a letter from her father Leif who wants her to come back to her childhood home. An intense weekend with her father changes her attitude to the rural area she left a long time ago.
