THE DUKES OF SEPTEMBER a super group comprised of pop/rock/R&B icons Donald Fagen (Steely Dan), Michael McDonald (Doobie Brothers) and Boz Scaggs a brand new DVD and Blu Ray to coincide with its PBS debut airing on Great Performances. Filmed in November of 2012, this concert features the Dukes of Septembers dynamic rock and soul revue with not only showcasing their well-known hits such as Reelin in the Years, Lido Shuffle and Takin it to the Streets , but also forays into rock and R&B gems such as Sweet Soul Music and Love T.K.O.

This DVD focuses on the Crusaders performance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 2003, one of a number of visits the band have made to Montreux over the years. Founding members Joe Sample and Wilton Felder were joined in the line-up by long standing friend and collaborator Ray Parker Jr. on guitar and featured a special guest appearance by the inimitable Randy Crawford on vocals. They delivered a set that spanned their career from early days up to their latest album capped by a stunning rendition of their classic "Street Life".

Elle tire son nom de l'album studio History sorti en 1995. En France, la tournée s'est arrêtée le 25 juin 1997 à Lyon (stade Gerland), les 27 et 29 juin à Paris (Parc des Princes), et le 27 juillet à Nice (stade Charles-Ehrmann). Le HIStory World Tour a réuni 4,5 millions de spectateurs pour un total de 82 concerts sur les cinq continents. Dernière tournée mondiale de Michael Jackson, elle rapporta 165 millions de dollars de recettes. Les 4 et 6 juillet 1997, les concerts donnés au Stade olympique de Munich (Allemagne) sont filmés par la télévision allemande Sat.1.
